Eating salt raises the amount of sodium in your bloodstream and wrecks the delicate balance, reducing the ability of your kidneys to remove the water. The result is a higher blood pressure due to the extra fluid and extra strain on the delicate blood vessels leading to the kidneys.

yes sodium increase blood pressure

when we take sodium chloride ( common salt) in excess then water remain inside our body as the concentration increase inside body so kidney stops removing water from our body
and the amount of fluid increase in our body which leads to increased in blood pressure

consuming sodium in excess not only increase blood pressure it also leads to heart attach, kidney failure, changing osmoregulation inside body which may leads to multiple organ failure

so take sodium chloride in a limited amount
