- Case 2: the object is located beyond the center of curvature (C)
- Case 3: the object is located at the center of curvature (C)
- Case 4: the object is located between the center of curvature (C) and the focal point (F)
- Case 5: the object is located at the focal point (F)
- Case 6: Object between Principal Focus (F) and Pole (P)
Cases of convex mirror:-
- Object is placed At infinity
- Object is placed Between infinity and P.

Only a concave mirror is capable of creating a real image and this only occurs if the object is situated at a greater distance than the focal length of the mirror's surface. The image formed in a convex mirror is always virtual and erect, whatever be the position of the object.
