poulami27: Hybridization=1/2(valency electron in central atom+no. Of atom attached to central atom by single bond+negative charge-positive charge). pls solve in this formula

Sn lies in the carbon family,so it has same behavior as CCl4. 
Therefore,hybridization of the SnCl4 is sp3 and its shape is tetrahedral

its sp3 hybridized..
because Sn belongs to 14th group...so having4 electron in its oiter most shell...
and cl having1 valency ...
so its having number as 4..then its sp3 hybridized ..
