               Toluene is also known as Toluol and it's IUPAC name is methylbenzene. Toluene is an aromatic compound which is organic and has a cyclic structure. Toluene is nothing but a methyl compound attached to the benzene ring. C_{7} H_{8} is the chemical formula for Toluene.

                The molecule of Toluene is planar due to the requirement of sp2 hybridization carbon to promote the aromatic effect of it's cyclic nature.
