Hydra are carnivorous and feed mainly on small crustaceans like water fleas (Daphnia) and small worms. Although hydra are fairly simple animals, the stinging cells which they use to catch their prey are quite complex structures.
Tapeworms are parasites that survive within another organism, known as the host.
They grow after the host ingests the eggs of the tapeworm.
