CH4 +Br2 --------CH3Br

2CH3Br +2Na --dry ether------CH3-CH3 +2NaBr

wurtz rxn does not undergoes alkene and alkynes

if CH3-CH3 undergoes ,it will give (try it as above method)C4H10,but in question asked as less than four carbon gives as product ,so it is not possible
