Hydrogen atoms directly attached to phosphorus atoms are not replacable.why?

hydrogen is directly attached with phosphorus and the electronegativity difference in phosphorus and hydrogen is high but this difference in oxygen and hydrogen is less so -OH can replace the hydrogen but phosphorus can't do it
