In order to justify the statement that: “Hydrogen Bonding is the basis of life”, let’s have a look on the following examples:

- Water is the necessity of life and the bond that exists between water molecules is hydrogen bond.

- DNA makes up our genetic material and the bond that keeps the double helix structure of DNA is hydrogen bond. These bonds are present inside the nitrogenous bases of the DNA stands.

- Hydrogen bonding is also responsible for maintaining the complex three dimensional structure of protein molecules and stabilize them.

Answer:

hydrogen bond is bond between hydrogen and electronegative element (O,N,F)

Explanation:

It is present is DNA (between the nitrogenous bases-two hydrogen bond b/w Aand T, three hydrogen bond b/w C and G)

Also present in structure of protein to stabilize it.
