Hydrogen escape faster than oxygen on earth.why?

As we all know hydrogen has the least mass among all the elements…that is why it can escape faster from the earths surface more than that of the oxygen.oxygen has more maas than hydrogen..sooo still it is very difficult to get energy fron hydrogen gas it costs a great amount of money ragarding energy production.
