The chemical reaction is

2Al + 2NaOH + 2H2O → 2NaAlO2 + 3H2

Atomic mass of H2 = 27

For 2x27 the H2 liberated is 3x22.4 L as at STP 1 mole of H2 is 22.4 L

So,

2.7 g Al liberates 2.7x3x22.4/2x27 = 3.36 L H2
