Hydrogen gas when burnt in air produces lot of heat which does not require fuel to continue this reaction. The exothermic reactions heat generates high temperature and so the reaction is very quick called to be hence spontaneous. Burning Hydrogen gas in air is the oxidation of Hydrogen in presence of atmospheric Oxygen. This is an exothermic reaction and is spontaneous. Only initial heating of the reactants is necessary to cross the activation energy barrier.
