1) It is not a pollutant. Does not harm the environment.
2) It has a high calorific value.
3) It does not produces residues like ashes after burning.
4) When hydrogen burns, pollutants like carbon dioxide are NOT produced.

The enormous heat so produced breaks the fused He nucleus into hydrogen atoms which again joins to form a He atom, releasing a lot of energy.
