The hydrolysis of salt of strong acid and strong base doesn't take place, only the ionization of water takes place and the solution will remain neutral i.e., \textbf {\underline {pH of solution will be 7.}}

The salt of strong acid and strong base are NaCl_{2}, Na_{2}SO_{4}, NaNO_{3}.

Example :

NaCl + H_{2}O ==> HCl + NaOH

Here Nacl, HCl and NaOH all are strong therefore they will be dissociated as follow :

{Na}^{+} + {Cl}^{-} + H_{2}O ==> {H}^{+} + {Cl}^{-} + {Na}^{+} + {OH}^{-}

\boxed {H_{2}O ==> {H}^{+} + {OH}^{-}}
