hydronium ion are always in the form of H3O+ because hydrogen ion can't exist alone, but they exist after combining with water molecule.

hydrogen atom has one electron and one Proton when this atom losses its electron and is left with only one Proton its H+ which is hydrogen ion I+ is also known as Proton and It is also known as proton as it contains only one proton and nothing else hydronium ions is formed when water is added to H+

H+ + H2o=H3o
