Hypocrisy exists in abundant measure in our society. People do not practise what they preach. They have double standards; are rude and dishonest but expect politeness and honesty from others.- There are numerous examples of lack of sincerity in our daily experience. Write an article of 150-200 words showing how such behaviour causes disharmony at home, in the neighbourhood and at the work place. You are Harsha/ Hrishit.

Hypocrisy is a vice of character that majority of human beings suffer from. This vice shatters relationships and often causes alienation among people who might have been sharing a warm bond. Scriptures have cautioned people to be wary of this vice and shun it.

Hypocrisy is pretending to have qualities, morality, and traits that one may not be having actually having. Though no one likes hypocrisy, yet most of the people unknowingly practice it. They derive immense pleasure out of pretending what they actually are not.

However, hypocrisy makes one repulsive. Its pleasures are short lived. The sooner we get rid of it from our character, the better for us. If we aim to achieve success in life, we must cleanse ourselves of this flaw of character.

Hypocrisy is the contrivance of a false appearance of virtue or goodness, while concealing real character traits or inclinations, especially with respect to religious and moral beliefs; hence, in a general sense, hypocrisy may involve dissimulation, pretense, or a sham.
