NCERT based Answer for Class 11 Biology Students

Hypothalamus is the major integrating link between nervous and endocrine system.

It receives inputs from several regions of brain and also from sensory organs.

In turn, it controls the autonomic nervous system and regulates various body functions.

It contains several groups of neurosecretory cells which produce hormones.

These hormones regulate synthesis and secretion of pituitary hormones.
