Formula Used:
- Euler's Formula: (F + V = E + 2)
Where,
F => No. of faces
V => No. of vertices
E => No. of edges
Solution:
- In fig(i),
F = 6
V = 8
E = 12
Apply Euler's formula,
F + V = E + 2
6 + 8 = 12 + 2
- In Fig (ii),
F = 9 (interior square not included)
V = 9
E = 16
Apply Euler's formula,
F + V = E + 2
9 + 9 = 16 + 2
18 = 18
- In fig (iii)
F = 6
V = 8
E = 12
Apply Euler's formula,
F + V = E + 2
6 + 8 = 12 + 2
14 = 14
- In fig (iv),
F = 5
V = 5
E = 8
Apply Euler's formula,
F + V = E + 2
5 + 5 = 8 + 2
