Find the probability of tossing the dice twice and getting the same number both the times....

total outcomes =36
favourable outcomes =6((1,1)(2,2)(3,3)(4,4)(5,5)(6,6))
probability =favourable outcomes/total outcomes
6/36=1/6=0.166

TOTAL POSSIBLE OUTCOMES tossing 2,dice at a 1 time = 36

(1,1)(1,2)(1,3)..............

..............................,............(6,4)(6,5)(6,6)

Number of events in which both the outcomes coincide that is both the dice shows the same number = (1,1)(2,2)(3,3)(4,4)(5,5)(6,6)

that is 6 events out of 36 SAMPLE SPACE

PROBABILITY = FAVORABLE OUTCOMES ÷ TOTAL OUTCOMES

 = \frac{6}{36}

= 1/6 = 0.167
