Answer:

ELIMINATION METHOD

3x+4y=10------>1

2x-2y=2-------->2

3x+4y=10

2×1=4x-4y=4

______

7x=14

______

7x=14

x=14/7

x=2

sub x=2 in 2

2x-2y=2

2(2)-2y=2

4-2y=2

-2y=2-4

-2y=-2

y=1

sub x and y in 1

3x+4y=10

3(2)+4(1)=10

6+4=10

10=10

VERIFY:--

2x-2y=2

2(2)-2(1)=2

4-2=2

2=2

substitution method

3x +4y =10

2x - 2y =2

2x =2 +2y

x = 2 +2y/2

3×2+2y/2 +4y =10

6 +6y/2 +4y =10

6+ 6y +8y/2 =10

14y +6 =20

14y = 20-6

14y = 14

y =14/14

y =1

2x - 2×1 =2

2x - 2 =2

2x =2+2

2x =4

x =4/2

x =2
