i) 6 - 9 = 2y + 15

-3 = 2y + 15

-3 - 15 = 2y

-18 = 2y

y =  \Large \sf \frac {-18}{2}

y = -9

ii) b + 3 = 33 - b

b + b = 33 - 3

2b = 30

b =  \Large \sf \frac {30}{2}

b = 15
