a =  - 7  \: b = 9 \: c =  - 11 \\ (a)(b + c) =  - 7 \times (9 - 11) \\  - 7 \times  - 2 = 14 \\ ab + ac =  ( - 7 \times 9) + ( - 7 \times  - 11) \\  - 63 + 77 = 14 \\ hence \: the \: proof
