the ions produced by bases in water are OH- ions that is hydroxide ions. b) HCl that is hydrochloric acid will be stronger than acetic acid that is CH3COOH . its so because HCl is completely ionised as it is a mineral acid and CH3COOH is partially ionised as its an organic acid.
