I add five to nine and get two.The answer is correct but how?

these types of questions are tricky and right in somwhat method:-

see, it is said that if we add 5 to 9 , we get two....it means:-

its referred to like the clock...i mean to say is..

when we add 9 oclock to 5hours more we get 2 o'clock.
