From eq. (i)..... x = 3y ......put in above eq.

$3y + 5 = 2y + 10 \\ 3y - 2y = 10 - 5 \\ y = 5$

but x = 3y ......so

$x = 3y \\ x = 3(5) \\ x = 15$
