Solution :

Let us assume, The four digit number be abcd

             Ones digit of the number (d) = x

             Tens digit of the number (c) = 2×d = 2x

             Hundreds digit of the number (b) = 2×c = 4x

             Thousands digit of the number (a) = 2×b = 8x

As it is a four digit number the value of a should be less than 10 which is possible only if  the value of x is 1

By taking x value as 1, we can find the number abcd

The four digit number is 8421
