Solution

It is given that number is multiple of 70.

It lies between 300 and 500 which means that multiple of 70 which lie between 300 and 500 are 350 , 420 and 490 .

Now according to the second statement " the number is 20 more than multiple of 100" .

$number+20=multiple\ of \ 100$

330 + 20 = 350

As 330 is not the multiple of 100 so , it is not the required number.

400+20=420

As 400 is the multiple of 100 so , it is the required number.

470+20=490

As 470 is not the multiple of 100 so , it is not the required number.

Therefore , the number which fulfill all the statement is 420.
