Answer:

Let the number be x

if we multiply it by 3 the number becomes 3x

it is given that 2 is subtracted from the number

so required equation = 3x-2         .............(equ. 1)

the number becomes 10 more than twice so = 10+2x      .............(equ. 2)

equating both equations 1 and 2

3x -2 =  10 + 2x

3x - 2x = 10 + 2

x = 12

So I am a number whose value is 12.
