let the number be = x

3x + 34 + 6 = 100

3x = 100 - 40

3x = 60

x = 60/3

x = 20

The number is 20

Given:

  • I am a number. Take me three times over & add thirty four. To reach a century you still need six. "Who am I ?" *

Understanding the question:

⇴It's a riddle here to solve this up we have to turn this off from statement form to equation form.

To Find:

  • the number which satisfies the the given statement.

Analysis:

 \sf \purple{ \dag \: clues \: given :}

❶ the number when tajen 3 times over and added to 34 gives out 6 less that 100.

Solution:

let's make it up into an equation form

 \longmapsto \tt \: let \: the \: number \: be \: x

so,

 : \implies \sf \: 3x + 34  = 100 - 6 \\  \\ \\   : \implies \sf 3x + 34 = 94 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \\   : \implies \sf 3x = 94 - 34 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \\  : \implies \sf 3x = 60 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \\  : \implies \sf x =  \cancel \frac{60}{3}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \\  : \implies \sf x = 20 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\ \blue{ \underline{ \boxed{ \pink{ \mathfrak{ \therefore \: the  \: required\: number \: is \: 20}}}}}

Verification:

  • ➢ let's put 20 in the place of x and check weather a satisfies the given riddle.!

now, 3 times 20 equals 60

so,adding up 34 to 60 gives up 94 which is 6 less than a century.
