Perennial crops usually take two to five years to complete a life cycle. They do produce flowers just like annuals and biennials do which if successfully pollinated produce seeds. The period at which the seed is formed shows the how long the life cycle of a plant is. If a seed forms after three years then the the life cycle of that plant is three years.
