SOLUTION

ATQ

The number has 3 decimal places and is less than 10.

Let the number be, A.B C D

So,

A.BCD < 10

'A' can either be, 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.

After rounding the number is 9.

So, A = 9. (Equation 1)

The smallest natural number is 0

So, B = 0 (Equation 2)

hundredths digit = one’s digit.

That is,

C = A = 9 (Equation 3)

And,

D = B + 5

D = 0+5 = 5 (equation 4)

From equations 1, 2, 3 and 4

A.BCD = 9.095
