Explanation: Biomagnification is the accumulation of chemicals inside living organisms due to their water or food intake and the amount or concentration of that chemical is higher than that of the non-living environment.

In the food chain, the higher organisms feed on the lower organisms which contain chemicals or toxins and it accumulates in higher organisms as well.

Examples of such chemicals are- Heavy metals( Mercury, Arsenic), DDT etc.
