Therefore the value of x= 3 units and  y=4 units

Perimeter = 62 units

Area = 228 square units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Rectangle:

  • The opposite site of a rectangle is congruent.
  • Each angles of a rectangle= 90°.
  • The area of a rectangle = length× breadth
  • The perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (length+ breadth)

Given that 2x -y+13 and x-2y +20 are the side of the rectangle.

Then, 2x -y+13=x-2y +20

⇒2x -y+13 -x+2y-20=0

⇒x+y -7=0........(1)

And 2x+6 and 3y are the breath of the rectangle.

Then 2x +6=3y

⇒2x-3y +6=0 .........(2)

add 3 times of first equation with the second equation

3x+3y-21+2x-3y+6=0

⇒5x -15=0

⇒5x =15

⇒x=3

Putting the value of x in equation (2) We get

3+y-7=0

⇒y-4=0

⇒y=4

Therefore the value of x= 3 units and  y=4 units

Length= x-y+20

           =(3-4+20)

           =19 units

Breadth = 3y

              =(3×4)

              =12 units

Perimeter = 2(length+breadth)

                 =2(12+19)

                 =62 units

Area = length×breadth

       = (19×12)

      =228 square units.
