Stomata is the structure which is present on lower surface of a leaf.

Explanation:

1.Stomata are cell structures in the epidermis of tree leaves and needles that are involved in the exchange of carbon dioxide and water between plants and the atmosphere.

2.Stomata, the small pores on the surfaces of leaves and stalks, regulate the flow of gases in and out of leaves and thus plants as a whole. They adapt to local and global changes on all timescales from minutes to millennia.

3.Its main function is the exchange of gases by opening and closing the pores in the leaves.  It helps in removing water from the leaves. It takes carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen during the process of photosynthesis. It helps in regulating water movement through transpiration.
