I am a tree. I am your friend. I always smile and welcome you with precious and healthy fruits and beautiful flowers. I walk with rain and dance with clouds. Thunder and lightning are my best friends. They help me chase my laziness. I start breathing. I start living again. I become healthy when it rains. I am green again. 

When I breathe you breathe. 

I become healthy and happy. When I am healthy and happy you are healthy and happy. I take water from earth. Water goes up and change into clouds. Clouds bless us with rain.  Rain is life. You know this year we have less rain. And life has become difficult.

 

Today give me a promise. Please do not uproot me. Do not cut me. Remember, I am your friend. Don’t you see I always look up to the sky? You know why? Can you guess? Only God can make a tree.  

 

Just walk beside me and be my friend. I am a TREE. I am YOUR friend. DO NOT kill me please.

• I have many branches that hold many fluttering leaves.
• I also have roots that are embedded in the soil which prevents me from getting uprooted during heavy storms.
• Many birds have their nest on my branches and I am home to them. They leave early in the morning and return by dusk after which we talk a lot. They tell me about the beauty of the world that is out of my sight.
• Many men have rested in the shadow of my branches and served them my fresh fruits to aid their hunger.
• Despite the numerous benefits that I offer, many men are deciding to cut me down.
• Am I not good enough for you humans?
