There are many plants that reproduce by spores and these plants also grow without seeds.
Ferns are such plants which are truly terrestrial and have the clear distinction of root, stem and leaves.
But what separates them from the rest of the trees is that they reproduce through spores.
This type of reproduction is also known as asexual vegetative reproduction and they do not need seeds to grow out from.
