It is clear that 50 and 60 are not the numbers as 5+0=5 and 6+0=6 .
As the number is between 50 and 60 the digit at tens place is 5 and it sum must be 12 so it will be, = 5+?=12
12-5=7
So the digit at one's place =7

Therefore the number is 57

Given: I am a two digit number between 50 and 60. my digits adds up to 12.

To find: What number am i

Solution:

According to the question, the number lies between 50 and 60. This means that the digit at the tens place must be 5. Also, according to the question, the digits sum up to give a total of 12.

Say the digit in the ones place is x. Now, the following equation can be written in order to find the digit in the ones place.

5+x=12

The equation is rearranged in order to isolate x and to find its value.

x = 12-5

   = 7

Since the digit in the ones place is 7, the number is 57.

Therefore, the number is 57.
