Answer:

\frac{111}{15}

Step-by-step explanation:

Improper fraction is a fraction in which a fraction in which the numerator is greater than the denominator .

Given,

Fraction when expressed as mixed fraction = 7 2/5

Fraction = \frac{37}{5}

Also, we are given,

Sum of numerator and denominator = 126

Let numerator be N and denominator be D

N + D = 126

D = 126 - N

According to question,

\frac{N}{126 - N} =  \frac{37}{5}

5N = 37 ( 126 - N)

5N = 4662 - 37N

Adding 37N on both sides,

5N + 37N = 4662 - 37N + 37N

42N = 4662

Dividing both the sides by 42,

N = 4662 / 42

N = 111

Now,

D = 126 - N = 126 - 111

D = 15

So the desired fraction is  \frac{111}{15} . Since here numnerator [ 111 ] > denominator [ 15 ], Hence we have an improper fraction

Hence,

Answer is  \frac{111}{15}
