Bond is a connection between two or moree then two elements...  it can also be explained as attraction between electrons and their parts also..within the  ions..

There are many kinds of bonds in chemistry 

they are as follows..

1) covalent bond . eg ch4
2)ionic bond eg. nacl
3)hydrogen bond eg. h20

similarly my loving brother there are many such bonds...

if you talk about single and souble biond there are ytwo types of bionds 

1) sigma bond
2) pi bond.
