Buddhism and Jainism are two ancient Indian religions.

This comparative study of Mahavira and Gautama Buddha are generally accepted as contemporaries.Jainism and Buddhism share many features, terminology and ethical principles, but emphasize them differently. Both are śramaṇa ascetic traditions that believe it is possible to attain liberation from the cycle of rebirths and deaths (samsara) through spiritual and ethical disciplines.They differ in some core doctrines such as those on asceticism, Middle Way versus Anekantavada, and self versus no-self (jiva, atta, anatta).

The origins and the rise of Buddhist:-

For buddhist everylife the life and teaching of siddhartha gautama provide a ideals and core of their faith and for community.The royal Shakya lay beyond the brahmanic heartland of the Gangetic plan perhaps giving people more scopes for their innovation.The jain leader like:Mahavira,Prince Siddhartha had pure conception and absolute meraculous birth.Baby Siddhartha's fingerprints,palm and sole bore clear signs forelling that he would become a universal saviour.

  • No stealing Respect for other property
  • No sexual misconduct respect pure nature

Rise of jainism:-

Jains trade their history through 24 tirthankara.Some artifacts found in the Indus Valley Civilization have been suggested as a link.to ancient jain culture,But this highly speculative and a subjective interpretation.The two main jains were:The Digambara and Svetambara.

  • Non violence
  • Self decipline
  • Acepting the truth
