a number which is in the form of p/q where q is not equal to 0 called rational numbers.
q can't be 0 because if we divided any number with 0, the answer will be undefined .
that means any number can not get divided by 0.
here p/q can be any thing
1/2
3/5 etc
every integer is also a rational number because if any number doesn't have denominator
that means it's denominator is 1
example ) 2= 2/1
5= 5/1
1445 = 1445/1
etc.

hope that this will help you
