I am not very fond of gardening. But, my brother is. He love to plant them — then watering, feeding & deadheading. He finds joy in the process, I presume.

Although, we don’t have a garden at home — because of the flat system in Mumbai. But we have many pots of plants. Some of them are Marigold, Holy Basil, roses and many others whose names I don’t know :P.

One specific flower plant is Brahma Kamal (Kamal means lotus). So interesting thing about this is — after planting this, it takes 4–5 years for the first flower to bloom. Also, the flowers bloom only at night — and in the morning they close up.

In my childhood, we use to wake up at night to see the flower bloom — even neighbors would visit to witness the Brahma Kamal. All the neighborhood kids were fascinated to see the big white lotus — Ah memories!!!
