The ball bounces elastically from a vertical wall at a
horizontal distance D (=8) m from the table, as shown in
figure. The ball then strikes the floor a distance to from the
table (g =10m/s2). The value of xo is ?

t = Sq. Root of 2h/g

= 2 sec

Distance traveled in this time is :

Distance = velocity x time

= 10 m

Therefore x0 = 8 - 2 m= 6m
