Changes made :-
■ The word 'that' was added.
■ 'I' was converted into 'she' as pronoun changes are to be made (Lyn; being a girl).
■ As the reported verb was in Past tense, the tense was changed in the reported speech (Present tense into Past tense).
■ The word 'now' got changed into 'then', as per the rules. (Reference - Words denoting time and place must be changed.)

» Never change the tense of the reporting verb.
» When the verb inside the quotation marks expresses a Universal truth, don't change the tense.
