Ramesh needs 'X' g of sugar to make 150 g sugar solution with 20% (w/w) concentration
Rohan added 'Y g of water to reduce the concentration of same solution to 15% (w/w).
The value of 'X' and 'Y'
20% (w/w) concentration means 20 gm of sugar is for 100 gm of solution.
Sugar Solution = 150 g
20% (w/w) concentration
Sugar = (20/100)150 = 30 g
Sugar = 30 g
X = 30✔︎
Water = 150 - 30 = 120 g
Solution = 150 + y g
15% (w/w) concentration
= (15/100)(150 + y) = 30
=> 150 + y = 200
=> y = 50
Y = 50✔︎
