i am having difficulties in understanding that how to mark 5/3 & -5/3 on number line . this question is in the illustration of the first chapter of r.d sharma . pls help me to understand it

See for 5/3 mark points on a straight line from 1-5 , circle 5, then draw another line and mark the points starting from 5-5/5 and circle 5/3.. Thus 5/3 is the point......................<-----------------------------------------------> ............|............|...........|..........|........|...........................................1............2.........3........4........5...... ...................Circle 5-------------------------------------<-----------------------------------------> ............|............|...........|..........|........|...................5.........5/2.....5/3.....5/4....5/5. Now circle 5/3...... Follow the same procedures for-5/3...

the sign of largest number will come in front in case of addition and subtraction in multiplication and division two same signs makes plus and if the signs are opposite to each other it will become minus
