Chemistry, asked by dewanaaryan1, 1 year ago

i am in class 9 and i am not able to remember the fixed ratios in which certain elements combine. For example hydrogen:oxygen=1:8. I want to know that how do they come to know the combing ratios mathematically? Thank you!

the combining ratio is formed as follows::-
          atomic number of hydrogen=1
            atomic number of  oxygen-->8
 so combined ratio=1:8
                 these ratios are also based on their atomic reactivity and masses.
                                                                                         plz mark it best

atomic number of hydrogen is 1

atomic number of oxygen is 8

so if we combine we get 1:8  and hope you have understood
