transitive verbs:
* they have a subject and an object
eg.- he climbed a tree. -transitive
because he is the subject and tree is the object
intransitive verbs
* they have a subject but no object
eg. - the sky is blue - intransitive
because sky is the subject and it has no object
although blue colour is mentioned in the sentence it is not an object because we cannot touch blue colour .
if a sentence has an object which is completely referring to the subject
for eg .- my father is a doctor
my father is the subject and doctor is the object....but doctor is referring to my father .......so this sentence is intransitive
