The writing business is highly pleasurable, isn't it?
I have already chalked up two stories .It's detective series . Its about two siblings who dot down cases involving murder, theft, missing, etc.I have already completed two stories and I'm trying to make it in series.
So the real question is how to get a catchy plot.
Of course it strikes the mind suddenly.I was like casually sitting in my class when my friend suggested me to write a story since I was great at it. So I kept thinking about it and suddenly it came up to start with two siblings as characters! I immediately wrote down this idea in my notebook.
Similarly, sometimes when a hell good plot strikes ,immediately pen it down. Starting of a story depends on what your plot is.It is usually best to start with introduction sort of. But sometimes (like me) , writers sort of start with a middle of story as their first page. This kinda catches the eye of readers.Cause readers usually read the first page before really going into the story. Remember again something catchy and curious lines should be your starting.
The ending part should be unexpected. If your story is simple, and readers get to know while reading that "yeah this is going to happen at last only" , they kinda lose interest. Never end with "expected", always go for "unexpected".
If you can't do the unexpected there is another option too! Keep confusing the readers.I mean the readers should keep on questioning themselves "Who is it", "What would happen next" ,etc. This will keep them glued to your story till it ends.
All the best for it
