How can one be capable enough to solve IE Irodov?

If you are actually good at conceptual physics, Irodov has nothing outside that. Though it is now almost 10 years when I entered IIT and I don't claim to be a expert, rather I am very bad at studies now as such, I remember solving 95% of its problems from Mechanics by myself without any help. I was more inclined towards mechanics rather than other topics

I am always been a self learner. I started my physics studies by reading HC Verma Part -1 multiple times until I felt every concept was inched on my mind. I solved each and every problem from that book. I also studied a book by R Ravi, to clarify some of the concepts of Rotational mechanics, Then I moved to IE Irodov.

At that time I didn't have access to a good teacher or any helping hand, So I used to revisit problems which I was not able to solve in first attempt. Some problems used to take hours to figure out the missing links. This thinking process helps to develop the mind in the right direction and is a good exercise if you are not in a haste.

I think mechanics was one of the tricky topics but it also depends on your interest. So If you are really interested in something you can obviously do it, faster or slower.
