the answer is 194. hundreds digit is eight less than the tens digit, therefore the tens digit has to be 9, because beyond 9 the number converts to 10 which is not possible. Lesser digit than 9 is 8, Which is only single digit that will give a positive integer result, when 8 is subtracted from it  Next, ones digit is 5 less than the tens digit, so 1s digit has to be 9 – 5 = 4.  The hundreds digit is eight less than tens digit, which is recognized as 9 above.  Hence the hundreds digit has to be 9 - 8 = 1.  The three digits are 100s digit 1, 10s digit 9 and 1s digit 4.  Thus the three digit number is 194.
